What the vinegar line actually says

The Apple Cider Vinegar Complex is printed as 1,000 mg, consisting of apple cider vinegar powder (providing 5% total acid) and unrefined liquid apple cider vinegar. That is a specification for the powder, not a statement of how much acetic acid is in a serving, and the acetic acid figure is not published anywhere on this label.

And the one thing this panel does right

There is no proprietary blend here. Every ingredient carries its own number, which is why the eighty-microgram lines can be criticised at all. A blend label cannot be wrong about a dose, because it never states one.

How the JellyRock amounts compare to the research

Three ingredients on one linear axis, and the two that cannot be drawn at all.

Amount printed on the JellyRock label100% = the adult RDA, or the dose used in the researchpercentage of the reference dose

Linear scale, nothing truncated. Only the three ingredients with a reference dose we could verify are plotted. The vinegar bar is an approximation, because the label gives 1,000 mg of complex and a 5% total acid specification rather than the acetic acid content of a serving, and that number is the one we most wanted.
Beet root & pomegranate80 mcg

Each. Eighty micrograms is eight hundredths of a milligram, so neither bar would be one pixel wide on the scale above. Beetroot performance research uses about 500 mL of juice a day, carrying 310 to 682 mg of nitrate. These two lines are on the panel so that the names can be on the panel.

Percentages of a reference dose are not a ranking of usefulness. What this chart is really for is the two ingredients it cannot draw.

Every printed percentage, checked against the FDA's Daily Values

The middle column is what the jar prints. The right-hand column is the same amount divided by the FDA's published Daily Value. You can run this yourself in two minutes.

Daily Values from the FDA's Nutrition and Supplement Facts reference guide.
Line on the panelAmountPrinted % DVRecalculated
Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCL)1.4 mg88%82% against a 1.7 mg Daily Value
Vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin)2 mcg100%83% against a 2.4 mcg Daily Value
Folate (600 mcg folic acid)1,000 mcg DFE100%250% against a 400 mcg DFE Daily Value
Iodine (as potassium iodide)100 mcg67%67% — correct, against a 150 mcg Daily Value
Added Sugars4 g6%8% against a 50 g Daily Value
Total Carbohydrate5.7 g<2%2.1% against a 275 g Daily Value
Sodium5.6 mg<1%<1% — correct, against a 2,300 mg Daily Value

Two of seven are right. We are not alleging bad faith and we cannot explain it. What we can say is that the amounts themselves are the thing to read, and that a percentage on any label is worth checking rather than trusting.

The folate line, which matters most

This is the mismatch with a practical consequence.

The panel prints Folate 1,000 mcg DFE, with 600 mcg folic acid beneath it, and 100% of the Daily Value beside it. The DFE conversion is correct: the NIH gives 1 mcg DFE as 0.6 mcg of folic acid taken with food, so 600 divided by 0.6 is 1,000.

The percentage is not. The FDA's Daily Value for folate is 400 mcg DFE. One thousand divided by four hundred is 250%, not 100%.

Why it matters: the NIH sets a tolerable upper intake level of 1,000 micrograms a day of folic acid from supplements and fortified foods, and this product contributes 600 micrograms in one serving. A label printing 100% gives no hint of that.

At one serving a day this is well inside the limit. It is a reason to treat the recommended dose as a ceiling and to add up your other folate sources first.

The rest of the JellyRock label, off the Supplement Facts box

The front of the jar reads JELLY ROCK, with Ideal Performance above it and Premium Formula underneath, a gold crest, and three icons: Masculine Support*, Maximum Strength*, Daily Energy Support*. Below that: 60 Gummies, Dietary Supplement, Apple Cider Flavor.

The side panel carries the suggested use and the caution, both reproduced in full in the table above.

Then, in boxes of their own: keep out of the reach of children; do not use if safety seal is damaged or missing; store in a cool, dry place. And the FDA statement, which is what every asterisk on the front points at.

The back carries the Supplement Facts box, the other-ingredients line, and: Distributed by Ideal Performance, Sheridan, WY 82801. The base of the jar carries the lot and best-before where the jar shows them.

The gelling agent

Gelatin. It is the last word in the other-ingredients line and it makes this product unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans. Many gummies are set with pectin, so this is easy to assume wrongly and nothing on the front of the jar corrects the assumption. The panel also prints “Magnesium Strearate”, which is a typo for magnesium stearate; we reproduce the label as printed.

JellyRock Supplement Facts, Line By Line: common questions

What exactly is in JellyRock?

Per two gummies: 1,000 mg of Apple Cider Vinegar Complex, 1,000 mcg DFE of folate from 600 mcg folic acid, 1.4 mg of vitamin B6, 100 mcg of iodine, 2 mcg of vitamin B12, and 80 mcg each of beet root and pomegranate powder. Plus 20 calories and 4 g of added sugar.

Does JellyRock use a proprietary blend?

No, and that is to its credit. Every ingredient carries its own amount, so every dose can be checked against published research. In this category that is the exception.

How much apple cider vinegar is in a serving?

The panel prints 1,000 mg of complex and says the powder provides 5% total acid. The acetic acid content of a serving is not published. The 2025 meta-analysis found the strongest effects at 30 mL of liquid vinegar a day.

Why is the beet root only 80 micrograms?

We do not know, and it is the oddest line on the panel. Eighty micrograms is eight hundredths of a milligram. Beetroot performance research uses about 500 mL of juice a day, carrying 310 to 682 mg of nitrate. We transcribe the label as printed rather than assuming a units error.

Is 600 micrograms of folic acid a lot?

It is 60% of the 1,000 mcg a day upper limit the NIH sets for folic acid from supplements and fortified foods, in one serving. That is inside the limit and it is not a trivial share of it, particularly if you also take a multivitamin or eat fortified cereal.

How much sugar is in JellyRock?

Four grams of added sugar and 20 calories per two-gummy serving. The panel prints that as 6% of the Daily Value; against the FDA's 50 g Daily Value for added sugars it is 8%.

Is JellyRock vegetarian?

No. The gummies are set with gelatin, which is an animal product. Many gummies use pectin instead, so this is easy to assume wrongly.

What is titanium dioxide doing in it?

A whitening agent, listed in the other-ingredients line. EFSA concluded in May 2021 that it can no longer be considered safe as a food additive, because genotoxicity concerns could not be excluded, and the EU banned it as E171. It remains permitted in the United States.
